I am writing this blog because I have personally seen the damage that many supposed spiritual 'Gurus' cause, including to my own family members. Their brainwashing techniques keep people ignorant and worst of all, stunt the mental growth of the children who are forced to follow in the footsteps of their brainwashed parents. I was nearly one of these children.
This blog will start by exposing one of the false gurus, Mr P.V. Krishnan, who's teachings are listed under the bizarre heading 'science and nescience'. Here is a link to a blog which rehashes his lectures and writings - http://science-nescience.blogspot.in/
Among this gentleman's many bizarre claims are; "the increase in population is a conspiracy"; "evolution is a myth"; "Einstein missed a few points" which this unknown Professor has uncovered. Well he does claim to be a professor in IIT Delhi of applied mechanics although its hard to find a reputable journal that has ever published his work. What is more important is that he has got himself a following of otherwise intelligent people.
In my various entries in this blog I will expose many of Krishnan's false claims and also the brainwashing techniques he uses to get you to believe utter rubbish. I hope to also broaden the blog to cover other false prophets.

Not only he is very learned he is also decorated with so many good qualities which anyone with open mind can observe even in little interactions with him. Above that he is a very loving person who is always wish well for everyone having no negative thoughts whatsoever for anyone.
DeleteAnd also I would like to say that if someone has got some problem with other person's philosophy or personality, it's best to clarify directly with the concerned person. And if one is not ready to do that, stay away and do your own work. This is how any sane man would behave and do. Why criticise. And what to speak of baseless criticism. DeleteDr. P.V. Krishnan Sir is as perfect a human being you can come across in your life. You will be realize what great personality he is when you advance in devotional service to Lord Krishna. Once your heart is purified by surrendering to Lord Krishna, you will come to know Dr. P.V. Krishnan Sir better and what great trouble and pain he has taken to enlighten us. Even our so-called parents have not taken care of us the way he has done. This is not flattery but from bottom of my heart(soul). Not a single day passes when I don't pray for him and long for his association. I constantly pray to Lord Krishna and ask the Supreme Lord as to why I could not have his association for long. I remember him telling once in the class and I quote "You will realize what I have done for you once you go away from this place" (at that time IIT Delhi professor's quarters). I miss him a lot and cry for him. He is the only person who truly loved us and cared for us. Trust me, the day you are purified by pure and complete surrender to Lord Krishna, you will know Dr. P.V. Krishnan Sir better. Until that time, your mind will keep playing tricks with you.
DeleteI will tell you from my experience that I have not got a single association as pure as Dr. P.V. Krishnan Sir, not even our parents who gave birth to us. Everybody is materially contaminated with some selfish desires. Everybody is looking for Return on Investment (ROI), just like we have in the share market. Dr. P.V. Krishnan Sir sees us as soul and not as this body but since we live at bodily concept of life, we cannot understand his thought process. It is said we see the world the way our mind is. If we are living at the material level, we will see everybody materially only.

It seems your family members have been stung by a cult. Unfortunately cult leaders possess above average intelligence and charisma, making very hard to counter their influence alone using a blog. There are better ways.
ReplyDeleteIt is feature of cult leaders to keep followers as much as possible away from literature other than their own. One effective technique consists of producing books and other media that wouldn't make any sense to an otherwise scientific literate audience, and requesting followers to read/watch over and over again until it makes sense. The reasoning is that if it doesn't make sense first or second time, they must be missing something. Eventually follower will 'get it' and start living and breathing that content simply because it's only one they know, and are discouraged of seeking competing material.
Another effective strategy is to discourage followers of associating, either socially or professionally, with other individuals that do not share their eccentric world-view. This contributes further to their alienation from broader and mainstream fact-based scientific circle.
This applies to all contemporary counter-scientific and conspiracy movements, such as all kind of creationists, moon-landing denialists, and other modern versions of flat earth society.
Dr. P V Krishnan is a great teacher. I have heard his lectures. I have never met any person whose lectures are as effective as his.Before commenting anything apply your brain.

Mr. Ashok, it takes blind trust to understand conspiracy theories and a little bit of imagination, I think I have the imagination part covered, but blind trust only comes from what you're experiencing. He told us to isolate from relatives/parents, told us to go to an isolated place, where my husband started doing his own things, started ignoring him, torturing me,beating me, asking me to vacate his house - just because I did not trust him with his plans to become pennyless. My realtives are so hurt and sad with me to have betrayed them. I left my career , risked big chunk of money, youth.... and now the 'good teacher', 'well wisher 'great devotee' and his soldiers are trying to ignore me. Where am I suppose to go.They tell me to pray. If I knew how to pray, had a relation with God , why were they required at all. Wonder how can anyone be so irresponsible - how can a great devotee do such disservice.

Sad to hear. I feel that people follow him not so much because of his philosophy but his personality. I also found out his claim to represent the scriptures as humbug. When caught on this, he asked me not to tell other people so that their 'faith' is not affected.

I have not ruled out the scriptural ideologies as yet and do hope that I meet someone well versed in them some day..a guru or as the word means in sanskrit a person heavy with scriptural knowledge.
I just don't understand why they can preach so blindly to isolate relatives. Did Srila Prabhupada isolate his relatives before taking Sanyasa ?. Why do they misguide their followers like this ?. I informed him once that a whole lot of what he says is not supported by the scriptures he swears by. This was confirmed by his Guru Romapada Swami himself in front of his whole Bhagvatam class at IITD. Bottomline-He doesn't know what he is talking about.
ReplyDeleteI also need to understand how come all Vaisnava sampradayas are unanimous on the next Vishnu incarnation(Kalki) and apart from the Gaudiyas about the previous incarnation Krishna. However the Gaudiyas have added Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, Nitai and Advaita Acharya to the list. Pl note that Advaita acharya is not mentioned/prohesized in the scriptures and he is also an old man..something that you may not have seen before in any of the pictures that you have of Vishnu Tattva incarnations like Rama , Krishna etc etc. And the best part is this has not been commented or explained by Gaudiya scholars for the last 500 yrs. How is an old man being considered as Vishnu tattva? And that too when there is no prophesy regarding this person. What is the justification/Shastriya pramaana for all this? When deriding people like Saibaba, Gaudiyas need to look at themselves first. Pl note Im no fan of Saibaba.

ReplyDeleteThe one big problem with him the way he preached in the time I have known him , he uses scare tactics to present the philosophy. The philosophy is not even fanatic or scaring, but he presented it in a manner which scares his followers. I don't want to do any personal attacks on him even though I suffered a lot from following him fanatically, his followers tend to follow him fanatically and they fall into his scare tactics. I sincerely wish him he realizes the mistakes in his preaching style and if possible render apology to his followers who suffered because of this and he tries to reconcile with his estranged followers. Some time his followers are rude to his estranged followers. Rather than reconciling and see if his estranged followers can be pacified , his followers antogonize them further. if he can change his preaching style like other great preachers in the movement he can become a genuine guru.

Their scholars seem to have little or no success in convincing scholars of other Vaishnava sampradayas about the Pancha Tattva esp Chaitanya,Nitai and Advaita Acharya being incarnations of Vishnu. So why should we believe them? Lets not forget the prediction of a Satya yuga by Chaitanya 500 yrs after him. Its time now so where is this paradise? Are you saying God got His predictions wrong?

Another point, Prabhupad had some predictions of 2023. We can all see how so called God ,Chaitanya's Golden age prediction is going on...Corona,pollution,nuclear proliferation, ever increasing population of Mlecchas and decreasing Sanatanis even in India, more cow killing than ever, could go on and on. So good luck to my Gaudiya friends with that prediction.

I am a victim of a blind faith and suffered seriously irreparable damages in my life. I didn't go and expressed my grievances to him thinking that he is all perfect and me a insignificant follower is always wrong. I am equally responsible for my mistake. There is nothing wrong in people scrutinizingly study it instead of blindly following somebody who is teaching this same philosophy with his limited experience. ReplyDeleteIf we have been sincere and been on the path of Truth (not man-made Truth), then sooner or later grace will come from the Supreme Lord Krishna. In what form it will come, we can never know. Only when we look back as we grow in years and develop wisdom, we can come to realize that Grace had come so close to us and we missed it. Even when Lord Krishna was in this earth, Kauravas failed to recognize him but Panadavas because of their good upbringing and past karmas recognized him and hence were saved from destruction. Even Vidura (a pious and spiritual person) could recognize Lord Krishna. Grace may be right in front of us but we, because of our material eyes/senses and materially-conditioned mind and intelligence cannot see things as it is (the Truth) for our material senses and material mind/intelligence will see things materially under the influence of three gunas, dualities, and conditioning/tendencies [by our upbringing (parents and society)]. As we develop purity (purity of senses and mind/intelligence) by devotional service to the Supreme, then by His grace we come to realize that Truth was so close to us and we missed it and then starts the process of painful regrets and remorse. If we had the courage or somehow gotten over our conditioning (which is extremely difficult through our own effort) and persisted, things would have been very different and we would have been blessed by the Grace Himself.

I consider it my misfortune that I could not have the association of Lord Krishna's Grace (in the form of Dr. P.V. Krishnan Sir) for more time because I saw him as a Professor of IIT Delhi with all his achievements (material achievements) rather than as a highly-realized spiritual person which prevented me from opening up in front of him and ask for his guidance (only a high-realized person who has been blessed by the Supreme Lord Krishna can give us the correct knowledge and guidance). Time, detachment, and surrender to the Supreme Truth taught me a lot of the Supreme Truth. I could have saved time and so many years of struggle with myself. I now feel, never see anybody materially (rich, materially very qualified and so on) but as spirit soul. Just seek Lord Krishna everywhere, even if you approach a guru. Seek Lord Krishna everywhere, in your guru too and Lord Krishna will direct you to the correct guru. Lord Krishna sits in your heart and by your sincerity, Lord will ensure that you approach the right spiritual master or you might even not require a guru, the Supreme Lord Krishna will himself become your guru if you call out to Him, He will guide you.
My experience over these years taught me this one thing. If ever doubt arises regarding somebody, just simply surrender to the Supreme Lord Krishna and develop complete material detachment at the same time and be only attached to the Supreme Lord Krishna and then approach anybody in this world. The Supreme Lord Krishna will protect you, His blessings will protect you, and nobody can cheat you and Lord Krishna will take charge of your life and will see that you receive His Grace from Himself directly or in whatever way/form Lord Krishna chooses. So, it could be Lord Krishna directing you from inside you for he resides there or from outside - it all depends upon Lord Krishna himself. But one thing is for sure, if our complete surrender is sincere to Lord Krishna along with complete material detachment at the same time, Lord Krishna will protect us.
It is sad that some followers want to ignore the suffering and pain that the instructions of Dr. P.V. Krishnan Sir caused to his followers.

ReplyDeleteAns: By the transformation of our heart that we are willing to give up all kinds of bad habits. If the process is bonafide and the follower is sincere then he will develop all good qualities like compassion, humility, simplicity of mind, truthfulness, mercy, freedom from envy etc. Dr P.V. Krishnan Sir is such a rare and pure person whose association has transformed the lives of many of his students including those who didn't study in IIT. The proof of the pudding is in eating. People around us are surprised with the change of our heart that we have become such gentle & loving persons. My wife and even parents are grateful to him for showing me the right path and how they have also been benefitted as a result.
He is teaching us how to become a first class person who will not want to step on (hurt) even an ant. All of his sincere and mature students are becoming selfless, so much of genuine compassion for others which is never seen before.
As there are qualities of a bonafide spiritual teacher, there are qualities required to be a genuine student, who is actually interested in spiritual progress.
I am not writing this based on the few moments or months of my association with him, but many years. This is not just an emotional outpour of my feelings, but tested faith, it is not blind.
To criticize somebody is very easy without knowing him. I request you humbly to remove this blog because it is a great dis-service to humanity to mislead others. You may not know what is right or wrong but to do false propaganda is very harmful.
God is watching everything and every bad action will have its reaction. To criticize somebody who has dedicated his life for the ultimate welfare of people is a great offense.
The intention is not to offend a respected teacher but to caution people not to be blinded by the respected teacher's teachings when his teachings can totally create havoc in his follower's life . Such a valuable lesson must be known to the would be followers .

ReplyDeleteDear Unknown user, few things I would like to mention here to clear some doubts, his teachings are not his personal opinions but as handed down in disciplic succession beginning from Lord Sri Krishna as mentioned in Bhagavad Gita.
ReplyDeleteHis each and every instruction is based on scriptures, particularly Bhagavad Gita & Srimad Bhagavatam.
It is important to understand who is eligible to approach a bonafide spiritual teacher, one who is only interested in making progress in spiritual life. It is not to improve your material life, although that will happen automatically as a fringe benefit of spiritual progress.
The havoc in anyone's life could be because of one's own fanaticism and not because of instructions (very important to understand).
Instructions are for those who are dedicated to spiritual life, not for everyone. A spiritual teacher will instruct only a genuine & sincere disciple.
Most of the people writing against don't have any idea about spiritual science. Yes it's a science because it can be applied in life and results can be verfied. The word विज्ञान is mentioned in Bhagavad Gita. So science doesn't mean only material science. It's a frog mentality to think that science just means studying the dead matter(we all have heard about story of a frog in a well who didn't know the world outside the well.).
Anyways, writing a blog or commenting on such topics without having perfect knowledge is causing so much havoc in the society.
Everybody is eager to give his own imperfect opinion but nobody is eager to know & follow God's perfect opinion, which can help people perfect their lives, and which you can know only through a bonafide spiritual teacher (like Dr P.V. Krishnan Sir) who is transparently presenting the teachings of God.
Sincere follower, I have no intention to offend anyone here , have been reading the authorized vedic literature by Sri chaitanya mahaprabhu and Lord Krishna and Gaudiya Vaishnavas, no where there is an element of fanaticism or rigidity in the main scriptures. I have already made clear, just few instructions in the past from Dr. P.V.Krishnan sir were fanatic and this caused havoc in my personal life. Some of his students tend to follow blindly him and were sometimes judgemental and didn't care how new people will react to their rigid behavior. I am done with the clarification. Thank you. I don't want to be punished by this bad karma of offending a great personality. Just clarifying and nothing more . I had no hope that my opinion will be listened and that is why I commented here. I will not write anymore here.

ReplyDeleteNow my husband has taken my child(13+) and is staying in Rishikesh in begging conditions- having left his job, all luggage, me, taken to of child for previous year from the school. Says either I should also leave my job and come there, and he would arrange a separate room for me to stay or o could stay there (in AP) with my job. Because he wants to perfect his life and he contacted Sir's student and he advised him that he only has to provide spiritual association for the child. What am I suppose to do? Here house owner is asking to vacate the house.
This is what I have got for investing 20 years of my life in devotion. Who is there to check these nonsenses. So, men can go on doing anything and wives are to be blamed that they are non-devotees. Nobody wants to address as to who is responsible for making them averse to devotion. How can I keep my faith in Krishna- any God whatsoever.
He has no money for proper accommodation and eating, child's clothes thrown (may be following Radhanath Maharaj!). ..keeps wandering from one place to another in name of book distribution amist this carona wave. I am understanding God must have no eyes and ears to be seeing all this and listen to my cries.
And my husband says he is following Sir, listening to his classes. I know it's not the classes but his hearing and mind that are the problem but my complaint is that neither Sir nor his students are available for my help. Rather they blacklist/block my phone number and email I'd!!! All glories to this protection of women.
I derive no pleasure writing here. Rather I am forced to write here when I find no one listening. Mr. Think well before writing , please consider this before using words like shameless, blunders etc. Can you use the same words for my husband even knowing that he is wrong- why because I am raising my voice against something wrong that people like your very self are doing - ignoring to correct people like my husband, rather scolding me. ReplyDeleteInfact I gear o undergoing slow heart attack as IAM writing. Sir had told me to beget a child because it is natural occupational duty of a woman. My husband told me it was for my protection. Where is my protection and natural occupational duty now. No one wants to correct men. Why this pretense of preaching. Call it ' forcing women to remain quite' movement. How are you people better than outsiders. Is this not exploitation what I have to go through. You are also like scientists who remove the data points that do not like on their graphs. Then you claim everybody under our shelter is happy.
ReplyDeleteNoi verse 4 says that giving and taking prasadam are means of loving exchanges. I was deprived to do it with my own child, when I was chanting 16 rounds, hearinghclasses, had taste for sastra study. Is this not a BLUNDER?

You should know under what bad health I took the risk of begetting this child, and this is the reward I get that the child quotes from Bhagavad Gita that family members who are non-devotees should be abandoned. Your sampradaya only has this defect. My husband tells even Srila Praphupada did it! What all has he accomplished like Srila Prabhupada, but no one will ask him and I should keep quite and keep chanting and hearing because I am a born Mahabhagavata and not a conditioned soul.
ReplyDeleteIn his recorded lectures on Grahastha ashrama Sir told "who will resolve the conflicts between husband and wife in marriage(meaning except for spiritual guide/teacher) and here when my husband has deserted me in such an advanced stage, diseases condition completely helpless taking away my son - nobody wants to even hear, forget about helping.if only I could get death is my only desire now. It will stop my writing here also. U urge anybody reading this to please pray for my immediate death. Amen

I feel you can not be irresponsible in name of KC...I think artificially faith can not be pumped up like to become like Sudama as some Mataji pointed...+ you can not become irresponsible in name of kC.. One need to earn (and that also good money...its need of hour i feel so..), take care of elderly parents, wife child...although modern education is useless/junk information but no way out.. one can earn money by these skills..so may be a balanced approach
