I have successfully eradicated the influences of the much acclaimed "Dr." P.V. Krishnan from my direct relatives, but much of my family remains under such dark influence, and seeing that many of the target's targets have hunted me down and started with their derogatory comments on my blog, I have decided to write a post. Sincere thanks to wdus for the support and the points.
Now! Getting back to Mr. P.V. Krishnan. He attempts at disproving and demeaning many aspects of science and scientific discoveries and developments. His newsletter "points out" the role of faith in science. This article mainly revolves around Mr. Krishnan critiquing the line "In science, everything is empirically verified; so there is no question of dogmatic faith in scientific methodology." He makes the readers believe him by telling them several times that a scientist, in proving a theory correct assumes full faith in his hypothesis, and perseveres around that faith, thus proving the role of faith.
We agree with you "Dr." P. We agree that faith is required in order for someone to prove something. But science, on its whole doesn't depend on this faith, it doesn't depend on these hypotheses, but on the proven ones, the ones that have been substantiated by math and science. So in reality, that line still holds full meaning even after "Dr." P. is done with his critique. He fails to prove his point. But here, I'd like to point out his genius in making his readers believe this.
The Journal doesn't explore science, but its author seems to be adamant on gaining consensus from the readers through manipulative words and other assertive techniques.
It's so on "Dr." P.

There's no 'we'. It's just your stupid self. Science for the sake of science is not a problem at all. Science when used for proper upliftment a very good thing. Today, science has just become an instrument in the hands of certain people who just cheat the masses in uncountable ways for their personal gain and glorification. Look at the world around dude! How has 'science' improved the situation in any way?
ReplyDeleteDude..the world is in bad shape agreed. But before you blame science, pl introspect into the Gaudiya teachings. As per Chaitanya Mahaprabhu(who is God Himself as per Gaudiya teachings), 500 years after him a glorious time like Satya yuga would come...Its time now, so where exactly is this paradise/Satya yuga what is being referred to by the Gaudiya styled God Himself?
DeleteMr. Child of science, what about all the assumptions you make during the experiments, in fact there are many such assumptions which are made. You need some explanations like we give to an LKG student. You see smoke somewhere far, what do you think, there might be fire, so you make an assumption, you take a leap of faith. So what krishnan sir is trying to say that there is role of faith involved and we as general people have blind faith on the experiments conducted by the scientists and in fact openly accede to their graphs and logics without much questioning. Moreover only very few things can be substantiated in a lab, much is still unkown and can never be known. So you child of science go home and do some homework, don't post such useless articles with personal attacks.
ReplyDeleteJust stop posting such useless articles.it will not do any good to you or anybody.science is not everything in life.science is actually making us forget what is life and its purpose.
ReplyDeleteAnd....you said science depends on proven ones?? How do you define what is proven?
If bohr's model was made on proven facts, where did somerfield, debroglie,Heisenberg, and quantum model come from? Each one proved that the preceding proven facts were false!!.
Just think Before you type.
Dr.P.V.krishnan sir is a very great teacher and devotee. You just can't understand him.Trust me...you may be having some brain problem..or.may be just a nervous breakdown.

ReplyDeleteDr. P.V. Krishnan Sir is as perfect a human being you can come across in your life. You will be realize what great personality he is when you advance in devotional service to Lord Krishna. Once your heart is purified by surrendering to Lord Krishna, you will come to know Dr. P.V. Krishnan Sir better and what great trouble and pain he has taken to enlighten us. Even our so-called parents have not taken care of us the way he has done. This is not flattery but from bottom of my heart(soul). Not a single day passes when I don't pray for him and long for his association. I constantly pray to Lord Krishna and ask the Supreme Lord as to why I could not have his association for long. I remember him telling once in the class and I quote "You will realize what I have done for you once you go away from this place" (at that time IIT Delhi professor's quarters). I miss him a lot and cry for him. He is the only person who truly loved us and cared for us. Trust me, the day you are purified by pure and complete surrender to Lord Krishna, you will know Dr. P.V. Krishnan Sir better. Until that time, your mind will keep playing tricks with you.
ReplyDeleteI will tell you from my experience that I have not got a single association as pure as Dr. P.V. Krishnan Sir, not even our parents who gave birth to us. Everybody is materially contaminated with some selfish desires. Everybody is looking for Return on Investment (ROI), just like we have in the share market. Dr. P.V. Krishnan Sir sees us as soul and not as this body but since we live at bodily concept of life, we cannot understand his thought process. It is said we see the world the way our mind is. If we are living at the material level, we will see everybody materially only
